Government fees are separate
Government, inspection, licensing, filing, and late fees are set and collected by the applicable authority. They are not included in our service fee, and we never mark them up — you pay the agency directly.
Examples of published government fees
- DSHS mobile food vendor, Type I — $309 application
- DSHS mobile food vendor, Type II — $618 + $400 inspection
- DSHS mobile food vendor, Type III — $876 + $500 inspection
- TABC nonprofit event permit — $50 per event day
- TABC late filing — approximately $300 to $900
Amounts reflect what the agencies published at the time of writing and can change. Restaurant and retail permit fees vary by local jurisdiction. We confirm current amounts for your order.
Permit or service fee back
If your permit is not issued and you met the eligibility and cooperation requirements, we refund the $250 service fee. Government and inspection fees paid to an agency are not refunded by us.

Questions
Pricing FAQs
Is the $250 charged per permit or per business?
Per permit-assistance order. If your business needs more than one application — for example a food permit and a separate temporary alcohol event authorization — each is its own order. Call us first and we will confirm how many you actually need before you pay for anything.
Are there any other charges from Food Permit Experts?
No. The service fee is the only amount we charge. We do not add processing surcharges, document fees, or rush fees, and we do not charge again if the agency returns a correction and we have to resubmit.
What government fees should I expect?
It depends entirely on your permit type and jurisdiction. As an example, Texas DSHS mobile food vendor application fees are published by tier — $309, $618, and $876 for Types I, II, and III — with pre-licensing inspection fees of $400 and $500 for Types II and III. TABC nonprofit event permits carry a $50-per-event-day application fee plus late fees where applicable. Restaurant and retail permit fees vary by local jurisdiction. We confirm current amounts for your specific application.
Do you offer refunds?
Yes, under our guarantee: if your permit is not issued and you met the eligibility and cooperation requirements, we refund the $250 service fee. Government, inspection, and late fees paid to an agency are not refundable by us. Full terms are on the guarantee page.
Do you accept coupon codes?
Yes. There is a coupon field at checkout. Discounts are applied and validated by Stripe at the time of payment.
