Food Permit Experts has spent 20 years helping businesses and organizations through Texas food and event permitting. In that time we have helped thousands of businesses — food trucks and trailers, restaurants, bars, gas stations, convenience stores, liquor stores, washaterias, caterers, event organizers, and nonprofits running charity events.
The problem has not really changed. Someone with a good business idea runs into a permitting system that assumes they already know how it works. The forms use terms that are not defined where you can find them. The requirements depend on details nobody told you mattered. And the cost of a wrong answer is not a correction — it is weeks of delay while a truck sits idle or a lease runs.
What twenty years buys is pattern recognition. We have seen the same handful of mistakes thousands of times, so we know where to look before a reviewer does.
A real in-house team
We maintain a full in-house processing and customer-support staff. The people preparing your application are our employees, and so are the people who answer when you call. That matters more than it sounds: when you phone about an order, you reach someone who can actually look at your file and tell you what is happening with it.
Our support hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. Central Time. Outside those hours you can send a message through your portal or email us, and we will pick it up the next business day.
How we work
We begin processing completed applications the same business day. Not the same week, and not when somebody gets to it. If your file is complete when it reaches us, it enters processing that day.
We also stay with a file through problems. If an agency returns a correction, that is our job to fix, not a reason to send you back to the start — and we do not charge a second service fee to handle it. You will see it happen in your portal as an Error — Resubmitted status, with a note explaining what came back and what we did.
What we are, and what we are not
We are an independent permit-assistance service. We are not a government agency, we are not affiliated with or endorsed by any government agency, and we are not a law firm. We do not provide legal advice, and if your situation genuinely calls for a lawyer we will tell you so rather than guess.
We also cannot approve a permit or make an agency move faster. Eligibility, approval, fees, inspections, and timelines belong to the applicable authority. Any service that tells you otherwise is selling you something it cannot deliver.
What we can do is make sure your application is correct, complete, and filed quickly — and stay with it until it is resolved. We back that with a guarantee: if your permit is not issued and you met the eligibility and cooperation requirements, we refund the $250 service fee.

We work with customers across the state — the major metros and the small towns, incorporated cities and unincorporated county areas. Requirements differ between them, sometimes significantly, and sorting that out is a large part of what you are paying us for.
